the Story

For over thirty years, Susan worked creating gorgeous custom family and children portraits on location at homes, the beach, down streams, beautiful locations. The business began home based while raising a family and grew. In 2010  she opened the dream studio within waking distance to the beach in Bay Head, New Jersey.  October 2012, Superstorm Sandy washed 5 feet of the Atlantic ocean through the studio.  At the same time flooding her home.

One of the gifts of the storm was the goodness in the people who helped, another was the ability to grow as an artist; the underwater series emerged from this growth. There is a strength and beauty in water just like that of those in the figurative underwater mixed media works.

The  gallery at 92 Bridge Avenue, in Bay Head is seasonal during the summer and fall. The online shopping site grew from the need to help customers beyond the summer season. Susan winters at the gulf coast of SWFL. Both these areas have had a profound affect on her artwork. She travels to various locations for commissions including out of the country.
